Special training for participants
- Supporting national IBD associations: An educational program will taken place about how to organise IBD summer camps, sharing the knowledge and materials created for the Catch your Dream camp. This could be useful to help national IBD associations develop their own summer camps.
- Supporting future camps: 'Leaders of Tomorrow' (LOT) sessions train 2010 participants to become camp counsellors for the 2011 Catch your Dream camp for children 7-18 years of age. Provided by experts from EFCCA, and the CCFA from the United States.
Safety and supervision
We are recruiting experienced organizers and volunteers to help lead the camp and supervise where necessary. Experienced activity leaders will be chosen to work with us.
We will put all necessary checks and precautions in place to make sure that our participants are safe and happy, and these plans are documented using the best-practice and knowledge gained from our research in the United States.
If you would like to consider becoming an organizer or volunteer, please contact us.
Medical assistance and health care
Our medical committee will recruit volunteer doctors and nurses to help with any medical supervision needed. We have set a high ratio of doctors to participants, to make sure everyone has the medical help they need. Local healthcare facilities will also help to provide emergency facilities in the unlikely event they are needed.
Language
Our committees communicate mostly in English, but our organizers and volunteers come from every EFCCA country.
